Beautiful Brownies

Surfing the web the other day I came across this video which I though was cute and easy so I decided to try. Since it is not valentines day I substituted regular brownie squares for hearts, and pastels instead of red and pink. But I am sure it would look cute whatever shape or color. Again I do not have a picture but soon I am going to start taking pictures of the finished product, but I do so have the video so enjoy (:

Apple Pie

I recently made this apple pie and it was eaten so quickly, I did not even have a chance to take a picture so sorry about that. My family ate the pie and said that is was very good but not very sweet, which they like. So if you like your pie very sweet I recomend adding a little extra sugar. I have not yet been able to perfect a pie crust recipe so I will just post the filling. Happy Baking (:

Apple Pie Filling

Ingredients:

2/3 cup of sugar

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Pinch of salt

8 medium sized apples (a medium apple = about 1 cup)

2 tablespoons margarine

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

Peel, core and slice the apples, try and keep the slices even.

Mix sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl.

Stir in apples all at once so that they are all equally covered.

Pour into pie plate.

Cover with top crust and seal edges. Cut 4 to 6 slits in the top.

Cover pie with foil and remove during last 15 minutes of baking.

Bake pie 40 to 50 minutes or until crust is golden brown and juice begins to bubble through slits in crust.

Enjoy!

My Blog

Welcome to my WordPress blog page. This is not the typical blog site where I share my thoughts and feelings. But instead I will be sharing recipes and pictures. I love to bake but I am currently living in Playa Del Carmen and my supplies is somewhat limited so bare with me. I have always had a interest in baking but have only recently branched out from boxed cakes and have started from scratch. My recipes and finished products might not always be amazing that is why I am always open to comments and suggestions. I hope you enjoy and try out some recipes for yourself.
